Strawberry Margaritas + Simple Syrup

I absolutely love margaritas. Being a girl from Texas, this is not a surprising fact, but seriously the love for them has grown over the years. After realizing I had Celiac my alcohol consumption came to an abrupt halt until I knew which alcohols I could have without getting sick.

Enter tequila!

A few quick facts about tequila:

  1. #nationaltequiladay is recognized on July 23
  2. tequila is plant based
  3. produced from the heart of the agave plant
  4. the liquor used to make margaritas
  5. Tequila must come from Mexico. If it is made outside of Mexico, it is called an “agave spirit”

There are a lot of cocktails that use Tequila. What are your favorites?
