Cardamom Jasmine Rice

Cardamom has always been an ingredient that would sit on my spice rack, looking pretty. That was until I was taught how wonderful it is! I love it! I recently added it to rice and it made it have a warm taste that went perfectly with the Dal that I paired it with.

Cardamom Jasmine Rice

Serves: 4
  • 1 C. jasmine rice
  • 2 C. water (or vegetable broth)
  • 1 Tbsp. cardamom pods
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. sea salt
  1. Rinse your rice.
  2. Pour your rice, water, cardamom, and salt into a sauce pan.
  3. Cook the rice based on the directions on the back of the bag.
  4. The pods will come to the top, remove.
  5. Mix in the olive oil.
  6. Serve warm.
